Before You Arrive

A few things to know.

  • We see clients by appointment only — book your time slot if you haven’t already.
  • If a doctor or physical therapist referred you, bring their name — and any prescription or written measurement.
  • Bring the shoes you wear most, plus any current orthotics.
  • For shoe modifications we need a written measurement from a healthcare professional, and both shoes.
  • We do not bill insurance, but we do accept FSA and HSA for therapeutic shoes and orthotics. We’ll go over costs before any work begins.

Before your visit.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes — we’re by appointment only. That’s how we keep the shop calm and give you our full attention. You’re welcome to stop in and wait, but scheduled clients come first and we can’t guarantee service.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance — but we do accept FSA and HSA for all of your therapeutic shoe and orthotic needs. We’ll always go over costs with you before any work begins, and we work hard to keep our pricing budget-friendly.
Do I need a prescription or referral?
Not for a fitting or an assessment. For shoe modifications we do require a written measurement from a qualified healthcare professional — a physical therapist, chiropractor or doctor. Special-order compression strengths also require a doctor’s prescription.
How long do custom orthotics take?
Orthotics are made here on site. With our on-site 3D printer we can often turn 3D-printed orthotics around within the same week. Hand-made orthotics and shoe modifications take longer — you’ll be given a specific pickup date.
What should I bring?
The shoes you wear most, any current orthotics, and any prescription, written measurement or referral information. For modifications, bring both shoes.
Is there a military discount?
Yes. We offer a 10% discount on all products and services to our military community.
